Michele Daniels has over 14 years of human resources management experience. Prior to moving to the east coast, she spent most of her career in Seattle, Washington and Northern California (Silicon Valley). Her industry background is very diverse ranging from insurance, financial, HR consulting, staffing, healthcare and mainly technology within the intelligence community.
Within human resources, her areas of responsibility and expertise include recruitment, benefits and compensation, learning and development, employee relations, university recruiting, developing and managing internship and co-op programs, and leadership development and counseling.
Michele holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland University College. She is also certified as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). She has been a member of SHRM for 16 years.
She has a very diverse sports background. She competed in baseball, volleyball, basketball, track and was also a cheerleader. She continued her track career through 2004 by competing at a masters level. She also ran her own youth sports club for 10 years which included an AAU competitive cheerleading team; an AAU basketball team; and an AAU & USTF track team. All teams competed throughout the nation; some at a college level.
STTEPS. started with small steps of Michele helping a few prior professional NFL players transition into life after their athlete career. The demand for her services began to grow. And while mentoring one of her clients, a prior NFL player, they decided to start STTEPS. as they saw a great need for other athletes.
